At Ambleside, our goal is not to maintain quality of life, but to work daily to increase the quality of life of the individuals in our program. We maintain that mission in everything that we do, and always approach services in a “member-first” perspective. We strive to ensure that our members are happy, healthy, and engaged in the community. It is a great honor to work with this agency, and I am proud of the whole team that works here!

I absolutely love what I do. I oversee operations of four homes for Ambleside. I love seeing how our members develop each and everyday. Being a part of a team that ensures that our members are living a high quality of life is awesome. Seeing the joy on our members faces when they are out in the community doing activities they love, at home in the evenings completing goals & feeling a since of accomplishment when they do, and discovering that they can do things that they never thought they could brings a smile to my face. It is my goal to continue to try to make a difference in their lives and to ensure that their quality of life is exceedingly great! 

Ambleside brings joy and satisfaction to my life every day by allowing me to do what I like to do “That is being a service to our individuals and staff.” It gives me an additional family that I can share my time, love, and life with because our individuals do require a little extra of these things to show them that we do care. It just warms my heart to see the smiles that I put on each one of their faces by nurturing and treating them as if they are one of my loved ones. My goal as an ROC is to ensure the quality of life for the individuals that we serve is met and to make sure the houses are functioning properly for them and the staff that we serve as well.

I don’t think anyone would classify accounting as exciting. That being said, being able to utilize my accounting knowledge to ensure that our members are living a high quality of life is not only thrilling, but highly rewarding. 

It has been said if you love what you do you will never work a day in your life. Ambleside is that place for me. Our administrative team and members have become my second family. I seek out new staff members who will make the lives of our members their best life yet.

I came here to find a job and what I found is truly a family, from the Administration team to the members we serve. I absolutely love the joy that I see in each of the members faces and am so proud to be a part of that.

It is my goal as Maintenance Supervisor to ensure the best living conditions are provided, meeting all health and safety regulations and requirements; assuring our members that they are safe in their homes is top priority.

Working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) brings me a profound sense of joy and purpose. The most rewarding part of my role is witnessing the individuals we serve smile, grow, and thrive. While society too often overlooks or mistreats those with IDD, Ambleside is dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized services that respect each person’s dignity and potential. I take great pride in leading this mission at our Lexington branch, ensuring the highest quality of life for every individual we support.

As a Day Support Manager, my mission is to create a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment where clients are supported in achieving their fullest potential. I am committed to promoting dignity, independence, and meaningful engagement through individualized care, structured programming, and collaborative partnerships with families and community resources. By fostering a culture of respect, empathy, and growth, I aim to enhance the quality of life for each individual we serve.

Here at Ambleside, we build strong connections with the individuals we serve, making each day a rewarding experience. Over time, those we support become more than clients they become like family. As the Program Coordinator, it’s my responsibility and privilege to ensure that every individual has what they need and what they want, and above all, that they feel loved and valued.

As the Maintenance Technician in Lexington, my role is to ensure that all living environments are safe, functional, and provide the highest quality of life for all members we serve. The highlight of my day is checking in with members as I move through our day program and residential departments. While maintaining the homes and facilities brings me a sense of pride, my favorite part of the job is socializing with the members—learning about their day and building relationships. The individuals we serve have truly became like family to me.
